Looks like Holiday cheer is in the air and Christmas came early for the houses here at Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Florida!
Friday, July 22nd, Santa and Mrs. Claus decided to make a pit stop on their way to the beach to check in on their favorite kids at our three houses. Our guest families were beaming from ear to ear seeing their kids so excited to meet the Christmas couple.
The Claus’ spent their day playing lightsabers, having many talks on our couches about Santa’s stories to the North Pole and how he was looking forward to his vacation at Cocoa Beach, and even looking at Santa’s new Summer Sleigh.
“Mrs. Claus and I love coming to see the children at the Ronald McDonald House in July! We also love visiting Florida in the summer, because we can stop by the beach. Christmas in July is half way through the year, and I love it because it is a good opportunity to check if the kids are still behaving well.”
– Santa
Not only did the guest families have a smile on their faces, but the staff at the houses did as well. Our AdventHealth Assistant House Manager, Brittany Mercer, was decked out in her Christmas gear and baked some delicious cookies to get us all in the holiday spirit.
“I love Holidays in July because it gives us the awesome opportunity to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year more than once. Seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus in July always brings a smile to everyone’s face, including mine.”- Brittany Mercer
Once Santa visited all the kids at the Advent Health Ronald McDonald House, they traveled all the way to stop by at the Orlando Health House. Santa and Mrs. Claus were greeted by the House Manager Tate who stated that her “favorite part about the event is watching parents light up when they realize they can provide their child(ren) with new toys at no cost to them and watching the kids light up when they get to open their presents.”

We are so grateful and appreciative that Santa and Mrs. Claus took time out of their vacation to meet some of their favorite kids and families.
Happy Holidays everyone and we will see ya in December!
