April is a HUGE month for volunteering and we couldn’t be more excited to share the importance of this month! Each year, our volunteers generously give over 20,000 hours of their time to support the families we serve. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization! Our staff is small, so we simply couldn’t do everything we do without the help of our volunteers.
Meet (some of) the Hearts of our Houses!
Dona (pictured right) has been volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida for ten years now! She consistently provides our families with fresh fruit, taking the time to lovingly pack them into individual bags. She truly makes the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida a home away from home for our guest families.
Irene (pictured right) has been diligently serving our families for over 11 years now! She always goes above and beyond by taking snack packs home to sort by earliest expiration! She is a volunteer who will always go that extra mile for our guest families!
Deanna and Greg (pictured above) are part of the RMHCCF In-House volunteer program. They assist our Houses on a weekly basis by cleaning the kitchen, making delicious baked goods, helping sort donations, and delivering supplies for our Hospitality Cart at Nemours Children’s Health!

Volunteers play a key role in providing a home away from home for our guest families. From frequent pet therapy visits, to building and donating snack packs, decorating our Houses for the holidays, and helping run RMHCCF signature events we are so thankful for our fantastic community support.
Believe us, we could go on and on about how amazing ALL of our volunteers are, and we appreciate the hardwork each one of them puts in to helping provide a home away from home for our families!
